Prom Prom Prom!! and other events....

Oh my goodness I am sooooo excited! Today I got my shoes, and my jewelry, and stuff for my hair...and it's gonna be great. I lovelovelove my sisters dress. For those of you who don't know, I'm going with a boy named Tanner Edwards, who is a Senior. Anyways.....

Today is just one of those days that I could stay up all night listening to the noises outside my window and just think. I want nothing more to do than that. But, seeing as all thinking really does to me is get me into trouble, I'll probably wander around the house until I fall asleep.

Do you ever like falling asleep with the lights on? Like not changing into pajamas or anything, not even laying down on your bed with the intention of going to bed for the night, but just falling asleep and not waking up till morning? I looooove that feeling. It's a weird thing. But the last time I did it, I just felt really good and I had a really good sleep.

Now that I'm on the subject, I've been having really odd dreams lately. One was that I was making out with Justin Bieber (which is odd, because he looks like a twelve year old) and that my guy friend caught us, and got mad because I was actually making out with his younger brother who just so happens looks like Justin Bieber. (Yeah, in real life, he does!) So that was preeeeetty weird. I also had a dream last night that I was a Tribute in the Hunger Games. It was terrifying. I ran someone over with my car and killed them! I couldn't believe it!

OH. Another thing about sleeping. So do y'all know about the movie by Disney called "Oceans"? Yeah, don't go. Kelsey, Tiffany and I all fell asleep. It was really cool at some points, and others, like when they started talking about humans destroying the oceans and what not, were really, really horribly boring. Just sayin'.

Wow..this post is kinda stupid. Oh well. I felt like writing something.

Tiffany Petunia Ann Rounds

This is my ode to Tiffany, because she's an absolutely amazing friend and I love her to death.

Tiff and I have known each other for a really long time. We had Science together in 8th grade, but I'd really never said a word to her. She was the secretary in the Miamaids Presidency while I was President, but still, we never really talked. Once, the weekend before our ward split, we all went to the lake for an activity, and Tiffany and I spent the whole day together. It was soooo much fun. And I figured that this would be one of those trips where you're good friends with someone for a day, then as soon as you see each other later it's awkward and you go back to never talking. But a couple days after the lake trip, Tiffany and I were both really bored, and decided to go on a walk together, to go talk to our friend Spencer.

When we did, Spencer was just getting ready to go have a "guy's night" at Colby's house with Justin. Tiffany liked Justin at the time, and I liked Spencer. So being really bored and still kind of awkward around each other, we decided to walk to Colby's neighborhood and play at the park there. It was so much fun. We talked like we'd been best friends for a long time and the awkwardness went away really quickly.

And after that, we started walking home together, hanging out after school, and eventually having sleepovers constantly and doing all that stuff.

So, now I'll write some things I love about Tiffany.

  • She makes fun of people with me, and doesn't feel bad about it.
  • She's not really the dramatic type. When there is drama, she vents to me about it, then we're back to laughing and making fun of the people involved in the drama.
  • She understands what I'm thinking, and when she doesn't, she just laughs it off.
  • We have really similar personalities.
  • She goes to work out with me at midnight.
  • She threatens to push people down the stairs for me when they piss me off.
  • I love her "polite voice" that she gets when she's on the phone with someone she doesn't know that well or to cashiers/drive thru people.
  • I can't count the times we've gone to fast food places together.
  • I love that I'm never afraid to hang out with her. That's weird, but sometimes I don't feel like hanging out with certain friends or I'm afraid things will be awkward because of something I did/said, but never with Tiffany.
  • Her sarcasm.
  • She always confides in me. I love that she can trust me with things she can't always trust other people with.
  • I can confide in her.
  • She's usually the first person I tell things.
  • All the zebra print she has in her room.
  • I love that we bought each other Twilight posters for Christmas.
  • That we can just text each other and be hanging out a few minutes later.
  • She's always up for hanging out, even if it's just sitting on my bed talking.
  • She records all the stupid things I do.
  • She calls me a fatty as she's digging through my pantry for food.
  • She gets along with my family, and my family loves her.
  • She thinks my Dad is hilarious.
  • She doesn't care if my room is a mess, or even if I'm over and her room is a mess.
So yeah, that's it. I'm in a sentimental mood. Also, she's coming over in a few minutes. Peace.

20 things you might not know about me.

1. I loooooooove reading. Sometimes people will ask me if I like reading and I'll answer "No" just to avoid the next question "What's your favorite book?" because I honestly don't have one, I have like twenty. I know, that's a weird thing to do, but whatever. I just finished reading The Hunger Games and Catching Fire and I loved them!

2. I like to make cakes. This is a weird thing to say. But I really love baking. I'm reeeeeally horrible at decorating them. Like, really horrible. But that doesn't take away from the fun of making them.

3. I'm addicted to texting. Yeah, you probably already know that. But whatever. I really hate that we aren't allowed to text at school because I always feel like I need to tell people things during class.

4. When I type, I don't use my left thumb or either of my pinkies. That's another weird thing to say, but that's just another weird thing I do. I use my right thumb to hit the space bar, and I use my other fingers to hit the shift key. Mr. Williams would be proud.

5. My room is painted bright pink.

6. I have a weird obsession with fat animals. I think they're adorable.

7. I really don't want to graduate, especially because I think that the graduation cap is gonna look weird on my head.

8. I wish lilies could be my wedding flowers, but my mom said no because they're "the flowers of death" apparently.

9. I love love love heels. I really like being taller for a few hours while I have them on.

10. My cat, Bonnie has one green eye and one blue eye and I think it's the coolest thing ever.

11. I have a Narnia/Harry Potter closet in my house. My friends (who, thank goodness, are as nerdy as I am) and I take visits to Narnia on a regular basis.

12. I hate being cold. I have 8 blankets stacked underneath my bedspread that I have to fold every time I make my bed.

13. I'm 100% positive that I have the cutest nephew's and niece in the world.

14. I name all my stuffed animals. The ones I get from boys I name their middle names (I know, weird.) and others I'll pick them. Like a Teddy Bear I got for Christmas a while back, I named Taylor because I was listening to Taylor Swift when I was naming it.

15. I crack my neck and knuckles regularly. I know, that's really gross.

16. I like doing little kid stuff. I love decorating Easter eggs, painting, putting up the Christmas Tree, carving pumpkins, all that grand stuff.

17. I think that I have diseases that I never really have. Mostly because I get sick constantly. Like once, I thought I had cancer because I noticed a weird mark on my arm, when really it was just a scar from falling in 7th grade that I'd forgotten about.

18. When I was young I wanted to be a Carnie so I could ride all the rides at the fair.

19. When I was younger I wanted to buy myself a Pomeranian puppy and name it "Puff Puff". I've now decided that the name "Puff Puff" could be taken badly.

20. I'm a complete English freak. I wanna be a High School English teacher when I'm older. I correct people's grammar regularly.

I'm in one of those moods.

I used to be afraid of being alone. Anywhere...at the store, at home, at school, anywhere. But now, I feel like the only time I can really be myself, the only time I can cry, the only time I can listen to my sad, depressing music is when I'm alone. I'm in one of those moods. I don't want to be smothered by my friends anymore. I want to just lay down in the grass and stare up at the sky. I'd rather lay in silence listening as the world goes by than anything else right now. I want to be alone. Not surrounded by girls having a "girls night". Not at the Powderpuff game surrounded by people smothering me with hugs and "are you okay?"'s. I'd rather stay at home and sit in my own self-pity. I'm in one of those moods.

Things That Make Me Happy

My sister Amanda once posted a long time ago that she keeps things that make her smile written in her phone to look at when she's feeling down. After reading that I decided to copy her and make a list of them in my phone. So, here's some of the things on my list!

  1. Kendra A.K.A. "Tata"- Kendra makes me happy in general, but the funniest thing I've ever seen her do was call herself "Tata". She can't say her K's, so obviously saying her name is an ordeal. After she came up with her little nickname, Trev taught her to do the pelvic thrust. So every time we asked "Kendra, what's your name?", she would reply with "Tata, uh!" and do a pelvic thrust. I've never seen Jamie laugh so hard, and it was funny to see my whole family enjoying Kendra for the little bundle of laughter she is.
  2. "Smize"- Tyra Banks, being Tyra Banks, does some really weird crap on ANTM. My sisters and I like to make fun of it a lot. On the previous season, Tyra invented a series of words, including "Ty-overs" (Tyra make-overs). But the most bizarre of her inventions was "smize", or "smiling with your eyes". She did this weird act of her as a super hero, or "Super Smize". You should google the video. It's ridiculous.
  3. Sam blowing his nose- Sammy is so adorable. A couple weeks or so ago he started "blowing his nose" (which is more like him pulling tissues out of the box and snotting all over his hands). It's so funny to see, even though it's extremely disgusting. Every time I blow my nose in front of him, he gestures to me as if to ask for a tissue, so I get him one, and he gets snot all over the place. It's pretty hilarious. For a video, go look at familymattson.blogspot.com
  4. What's your secret?- Shannon, Shannon, Shannon. I miss that girl! One time, while I was staying at her house for a week, we were laying in our beds, talking about quiet people. We both came to the agreement that quiet people, especially quiet boys, have some sort of secret that we really want to reveal.
  5. I don't know what to do with my hands- Kelsey, you get me!! At the Priest/Laurel activity, Kelsey and I were talking about that movie, and we both decided we'd start randomly putting our hands up in the middle of conversations. Awesome.
  6. "Did you know that before intercourse, Emperor Penguins bow to each other? They're like 'Mr. Penguin, Mrs. Penguin', Silly Penguins actin' all fancy!"- This is an ode to How I Met Your Mother in general, because Kelsey, my siblings and I all love this show. It's awesome. Kelsey and I now bow to each other and say what Robin says in her voice whenever we see each other. It's awesome.
  7. Homecoming-I don't really want to tell the entire story of Homecoming, because it's super long, but I'll just say for now that it was an amazing day.
  8. "Maybe, maybe not!"-While in Cedar City with my sisters for our annual Shakespearean Festival trip, we saw "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare--Abridged!" It was hilarious and awesome, but it included a lot of audience interaction, which my sisters and I really hate. At one point in the play, they had different sections of the audience do different things to represent a characters feelings. My section had to lift their arms in the air and swing them back and forth saying "maybe, maybe not" over and over. While "practicing" they told everyone to stop what they were doing and told me that I was "doing the little T-Rex arms or somethin'". I was extremely embarrassed, and they made me do it ALL BY MYSELF! It was mortifying. But now, looking back on it, I'm glad it happened, because it was really hilarious.
  9. The bathroom door at the Garden House- This is another thing my sisters and I experienced on our Cedar trip. Every year while in Cedar, we go to this delicious restaurant, The Garden House. The first year we went, we realized that the Women's Restroom door looked like it was open at the top, even when it was really closed. While I was in that bathroom, I heard this lady shoving at the door and couldn't stop laughing! She would not give up! It was hilarious! Ever since then, we always watch women go to that door and nearly break it down trying to open it.
So, that's all for now! Bye!!

What's up world?

Hello! I haven't really been on this thing in a while. So....yup, I'm updating again!

  • Watching Sam has been fun lately. He's growing up super fast! He's walking everywhere now, and it's fun playing games with him now that he understands them a little bit more.
  • I've decided that I hate hate hate second semester. It's just like...gah! Why can't it be summer already?!?!
  • I've also decided that I'm SO sick of this nasty cold weather! I want it to be warm again. I miss getting to wear shorts and t-shirts to school!
  • So I just stopped blogging in between that last one and this one to do my cartoon analysis thing for History, and now I don't feel like writing. I'll stick it out though.
  • I finally found out why everyone is so obsessed with the song "Vanilla Twilight"
  • I'm getting closer and closer to finishing Personal Progress! Awesome, huh?
  • Gerrit Noorda makes some of the most delicious cookies EVER but he won't make me any :(
  • I'm super exhausted from these last two weekends. They've been so busy! From Priest/Laurel activities, Sadie's shopping and dancing in the rain to toilet papering, writing letters to missionaries and school (once again, ugh) I've been having an awesome January! :)
  • Mallory got her license!
  • I still don't have my car...but I'm working on it. In fact, after this blog post is over, I'm going to go clean my room up (that's part of the deal)
    Clean Bathroom+Clean Room+YW Medallion=CAR!
  • I hate when people ride my butt while I'm going the speed limit. It makes me really upset.
  • I decided that although Wal-Mart is extremely germy and kinda gross, it's super-duper convenient and I go there a lot now.
  • I'm also going to have nightmares about today in Photography. Mrs. Wulfsberg saying "I SEEEEEE YOUUUU!" *Shudder* and seeing that girls nasty thong hanging out like 5 inches *double shudder* is not going to help me out tonight while I'm sleeping.
  • I'm reeeeeally feeling like a doughnut right now.
  • Mrs. Smith keeps assigning me to write the horoscopes and it's upsetting me. "Um, can I just say that it's against my religion to write horoscopes? I think that sounds like a good way to get out of it."
Umm....I'm gonna go clean now, I'm out of stuff to say. Peace!

Happy New Year!

Wow...I can't believe it's already another new year again. I feel like it was just a few months ago that I was making my resolutions, celebrating the January birthdays within my family and friends and beginning the 2nd semester to my Sophomore year. I feel like it's time to start making resolutions for this year, so here it goes...

  • I want to pay my tithing more often. It's not that I don't pay my tithing, I have a jar in my room that I put it in whenever I receive money, but I just don't give it to the Bishop very often. This was kind of my resolution last year, and I specifically remember thinking that I needed to turn it in during March, and not doing it until tithing settlement in December. Yikes, right?
  • Another thing is that I would like to have my Personal Progress done by my birthday, May 21st. The main reason I want to have it finished is because my Dad said that I can get a car when I finish it. So I'm going to work on that this year.
  • I'd like to be nicer to people. It's not that I'm constantly a jerk to everyone I know (some people reading this might disagree, because I do happen to have a lot of people who dislike me because of my past attitudes towards them) but I do have a tendency to not be able to hide my feelings towards someone, especially if they annoy me. I would like to stop giving people dirty looks and though sometimes it feels impossible, I'd like to slow it down on how much gossiping I do. It's getting a little bit ridiculous.
Other than that, I'm pretty happy about how things are going in my life right now.
What are your resolutions?
